How to Choose Better Feeling Thoughts
Alright guys, I'm back from my little time away and honestly, I felt great about taking time off from Social Media. It made me realize that I really want to live the simple life. I am so sick and tired of all of this noise, all of this finger-pointing, and all of this hate in the world. It seems as though half the people are awakening and half the people are focusing on the wrong things.
So I’m back on social media, and I'm definitely going to go through my newsfeed and only follow the people who are posting about love, light, and positivity and focusing on raising the vibration of the collective consciousness. I am not going to fall into this trap of bringing awareness to equality or Covid-19 or any of these things because - guess what - what you focus on you get more of!
Honestly, my brain totally forgot about all of the s*** that has been happening in the world during my time off because I was so focused on just me and my life. It was so nice not to be worrying about a million different things that are out of my control, which brings me to do a couple of different things:
You can only control yourself and what is immediately in front of you.
What you put your focus on, you will get more of.
When you put your time and energy into focusing on things that make you feel good, you are raising your vibration, which in turn raises our collective consciousness vibration. As you know, we are all one. Some people don't want to think that or believe that but I don't care. That's how I think and feel, and if you're not in alignment with that you don't have to read any further.
Some people believe in a particular religion, some people believe in a particular spiritual practice, and I like to believe in universal oneness and that, as a collective consciousness, we are all emitting vibration. There's a stream of energy that runs through each and every being, whether it's the wind, air, fire, water, humans, animals, plants - all things emit energy, all things vibrate, and we are all together as one in this experience. That's all this is - an experience - and I think we get too caught up in our own heads and let our egos run our whole freaking lives. And look at what has happened to our planet - when we let our egos be in control we f****** ruin things, we destroy people's lives, we destroy plants, we destroy animals, we build because we're constantly seeking more more more more as a whole.
Our media - social media, the news, the radio, etc - our neighbors, everybody is telling us to be afraid of what’s happening in the world, but you know what - if you focus on the negative things going on in the world, whether you're bringing awareness to it or whether you're trying to heal it, you’re putting your focus in the wrong place. Let me give you an example here. If I tell you “Oh my gosh guys there so many red balloons out there! I need your guys’ help popping all these red balloons! We need to figure out this red balloon thing that's happening!” If I just keep talking about red balloons and how we need to eliminate all the red balloons in the world, more people will be thinking about red balloons and putting more red balloon thoughts out there. Then what do you think there's going to be more of in the world? Red balloons! There are going to be more red balloons because more people are thinking about red balloons which will only manifest more red balloons and then before you know we have a pandemic of red balloons because - holyshit - it’s going to seem like red balloons are taking over the world.
So you can think about this for any current event. You can think about this for poverty, racism, viruses, sex trafficking, etc. The more you focus on the problem, the bigger the problem gets.
So instead, focus on what you DO want. If we keep going with our example, you know you clearly don't want red balloons. Great. Shift your thought to a better feeling thought. Your brain does not know the difference between “I want red balloons” and “I don't want red balloons,” the only thing that your brain is going to come up with is an image of red balloons because that is the thing that we are discussing. Likewise, if I sit here and tell you “don't think about a pink elephant!” - it doesn't matter that I said don't think about it. Now a pink elephant has just manifested in your consciousness and it could manifest in your real life - you could go to the store today and see a pink elephant and think “oh my God, I just saw a pink elephant like Sausha said that I would!”
If we're going to shift the way we show up in the world, we need to think about the solutions that we want. If we want health, happiness, and prosperity for all, then we need to think about how we can manifest that. How do we start teaching people how to heal themselves? How to help themselves? Think of how we could help.
I know we can't help everyone. Obviously we can't impact or save every single person in the world, that just pains me to say, but every person is brought here for a reason, for a journey, for a lesson to learn, and we are all on this path to healing ourselves. That may sound cruel, but it is all just an earthly experience - our souls live on forever. I want to say that, to me, whatever we experience in this lifetime is just part of a journey back to ourselves. So while we may experience pain or discomfort, just know that we are on a path to healing ourselves and helping one another to heal as well. The way we do that is by focusing on the healing journey and not the hurting journey.
I do try my best to meditate and focus on me, on living the simple life, and on bringing joy into my immediate moment. Because if we're not experiencing joy now, then we're not going to experience it once we’ve crossed some magic finish line. If you want to help others, then teach them how to experience joy. Teach them how to manage their emotions. How do we start to heal each other? By sharing more love and more light. When we really start to focus on the things that we want in life instead of on the things that we don't want in life, we will manifest more of those things that we do want.
I know I keep talking about the collective consciousness and how we all vibrate and emit vibration, but can you just imagine what would happen if we all got together and collectively focused on putting more good into the world?
Think about this in your personal life. What negative behaviors can you stop giving your attention to? Every time we give these energy suckers or energy vampires our energy by saying things like, “You need to stop sex trafficking! You need to stop being a racist! You need to wear your mask! You need to do this or that!”, we're giving our energy away to others in a place that is not a positive light. They're sucking energy out of us and they're putting more energy into that negativity, into manifesting more racism, more sex trafficking, more disease, and more discomfort. Everything that you have in your immediate life right now is a direct reflection of the actions that you have taken either in your past lives or in your current life. They have manifested in your reality for a reason. Everything has a reason.
We all deserve to feel and experience love and joy in this lifetime or in the next. I've come to realize that maybe not everything will manifest in my immediate reality now, but maybe it will in the future or in my next lifetime. I keep asking myself, “what's my lesson to learn here?” I feel like my lesson in this lifetime is to realize that I am good enough. You know, I'm always trying to prove myself. This actually was just brought to my attention yesterday because I was talking with someone and I asked, “when will I stop having to prove myself to everyone?” She said, “you’ll stop having to prove yourself when you feel you are worthy of not having to prove yourself.” It was like a slap in the face. I know I have to show up as my highest self and know deep down that I am worthy. I don't have to prove my worth to anybody.
We're all brought here to learn a lesson. Whatever you have in your immediate experience is a direct reflection of the choices you've made and the thoughts that you’ve had. These things have manifested into your reality. When you start to choose better feelings and thoughts, when you start to raise your vibration, that's when things start to feel good. I’ve said it before and I'll say it again: the better it gets the better it gets. Can you start to consciously choose better feeling thoughts and let go of things that no longer serve you and that you do not have control of? Can you can focus your time, energy, and attention on those things that bring you joy? How f****** cool of a place would this planet be if we could all experience joy more often?
And no, we can't be in a constant state of bliss just like we can't be in a constant state of depression. It's not sustainable either way. A part of being human is that we have emotions, we have this roller coaster of life, we have these ebbs and these flows but you know what? That just makes us appreciate the joyful times more, because we know what it's like to be sad. It's okay to be sad and to grieve, it's okay to miss people, it's just part of life. I used to be so scared of crying and of being sad because I thought that I'd never be able to get myself out of feeling that way. I was so scared to be depressed or anxious, so I would just shove all of these feelings down. The truth is, though, that if you just allow yourself to feel an emotion and let it pass through you and let it go, you will feel a million times better. Every time that you shove down an emotion, shove down a thought, shove down something that you don’t want, it's like adding weights to your feet and you’re sinking to the bottom of the ocean. When you let go, you will rise to the top. You will rise to the top. Let that s*** go.
And that my friends is what I want to leave you with today. I have learned a lot in the last few weeks of just shutting off the noise and realizing that I have everything I need right here in front of me. I don't need social media, or the news, or anybody else's facts, thoughts, or opinions. I don't need any of that. I have everything I need within me, right in front of me, and anything that I desire is within arm's reach of me. I just have to get really clear on my intentions and send those little rockets of desire out into the world. For those of you who are big Abraham Hicks followers, you will understand that reference of rockets of desire! If you are experiencing any negative emotions right now ask yourself, “What do I have control of? What do I need in this moment? What can I let go of?” Sometimes it's easier said than done. I understand that sometimes we want to control certain things, but we can't. But we CAN control how we think about it.
So if you're really struggling with something right now, I want you to write an entire page of positive aspects as to why you have to do that thing. Whatever it is in your life that may be uncomfortable right now, that you may feel like you are totally out of control of, ask yourself, “What are the positive aspects of it?” Then shift your thoughts to better feeling thoughts and you will manifest more better feeling thoughts.
Isn't that what we all want? To feel better? I know I do. I would love to experience joy all the time, but then if you're happy all the time wouldn't happiness kind of lose its magic? You have to experience some sort of contrast or some sort of sadness or grief in order to really appreciate happiness.
